- Wash your skin thoroughly. Be gentle with your skin and use a mild, non-drying cleanser. Never use bar soaps and cleansers, they dry and irritate skin.
- At least twice a week, exfoliate after washing your face to remove dead skin cells.
- Give your facial skin hydrating nourishment from facial masks twice a week. Natural hydrating masks made from fruit are excellent.
- Never go to bed with your make up on. It can clog your pores and create blemishes.
- Drink plenty of water each day, hydration is a must.
- Get plenty of sleep.
For Healthier Skin, Avoid the Following:
- Avoid over exposure of the sun, determine the right sunscreen for your skin type.
- Try to avoid stressful situations, they make an impact and show up on your face.
- Avoid overly abrasive scrubs that contain aluminum oxide crystals or pumice, and scrub mitts and loofahs.
- Avoid toners and astringents that contain alcohol and menthol, and facial masks containing polyvinyl alcohol.
The aging process is usually factored in skin care because of wrinkles. Can nutrition help slow down the aging process?
Research has shown proper nutrition can slow down and even prevent many health related issues to aging.
Regardless of age, all skin types need sun protection, antioxidants, and health inducing products.
